Acceptable Use Agreement

This Acceptable Use Agreement ("Agreement") outlines unacceptable use of The Residence and/or its agents Services (the "Services"). This Agreement is in addition to any other terms and conditions under which The Residence and/or its agents provides the Services to you. The Residence may modify this Agreement from time to time by posting a new version of this document on the network access portal

Questions about this Agreement (e.g., whether any contemplated use is permitted) and reports of violations of this Agreement should be directed to: The Residence

Prohibited content, uses and activities include, without limitation, any use of the Services in a manner that, in The Residence and/or its agent"s reasonable judgment, involves, facilitates, or attempts any of the following:

1. violating any law;
2. harassing any person or advocating or encouraging violence of any kind against any person, entity or government;
3. infringing, violating or misappropriating another"s rights;
4. obtaining unauthorized access to, or interfering by any means with, any user, system, network, service, or account, including evasion of filters or violation of the security or integrity of any network or system;
5. distributing computer viruses or malware of any kind or
6. sending, receiving or supporting email messages that are unsolicited, deceptive, anonymous, excessively voluminous or that contain falsified identifying information, including spamming and phishing.
7. The Residence and/or its agents will not be liable to the students, residents and/or users for any indirect or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, damages resulting from loss of use, lost profits, lost revenue, or damages to third parties as a result of use of the managed network and/or the Internet link associated with it.

The Residence and/or its agents shall bear no liability whatsoever for any damages, claims or other losses suffered by you for any reason as a result of its performance of the Services Students, residents and/or users are responsible for ensuring that they have adequately equipped themselves for Internet connectivity. The Residence and/or its agents is not responsible for and cannot guarantee that students, residents and/or will be able to use the Service with their equipment. The Residence and/or its agents will not be liable for any loss of Service based on best advice, or due to any changes to the Service which would render the student or resident equipment obsolete or incompatible.

The Residence and/or its agents makes no warranties of any kind for the Service, the operation of the managed network, the reliability of transmissions over common carriers, the capacity of common carriers, the security of messages, data or files, or the delivery of messages, data or files.

MEMORIAL AND/OR ITS AGENTS MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE) WITH REGARD TO THE SERVICE, ANY MERCHANDISE PROVIDED OR ANY INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET. ALL SUCH WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.

You are responsible to ensure that use of the Service and content is in compliance with all applicable laws, including laws where the Service or content is uploaded, hosted, stored, accessed or used and to implement necessary restrictions to prohibit use by any individual (e.g. restrictions on access by minors) or in any jurisdiction, as required to comply with such laws. Similarly, The Residence and/or its agents reserves the right to take all actions it deems appropriate to comply with applicable laws.
